Bookloom is owned and operated by Unboxed LLC ("Unboxed," "we," "us," "our").
1. Description of Service
Bookloom provides AI-powered tools for exploring and analyzing books. Content includes:
- Public domain works (e.g. from Project Gutenberg)
- Independently developed study materials based on publicly available information, lawful derivative analysis, and third-party research
- User-submitted notes, highlights, and annotations
We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to any authors, publishers, or rightsholders of third-party works unless explicitly stated.
2. User Accounts
You may be required to create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate account information.
- Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials.
- Accept responsibility for all activity under your account.
3. Permitted Use
You may use Bookloom for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not:
- Reverse engineer, modify, or extract source code.
- Scrape, copy, or redistribute substantial portions of content.
- Use the service for any unlawful or infringing purpose.
- Upload or submit any content you do not have legal rights to use.
4. User Content
If you upload or submit content (including notes, highlights, or custom materials), you represent and warrant that:
- You have all necessary rights, licenses, and permissions to use and share that content.
- Your content does not infringe any third-party rights, including copyright, trademark, privacy, or publicity rights.
You grant Bookloom a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use your submitted content solely for purposes of operating, maintaining, and improving the service.
We reserve the right (but not obligation) to remove any user content that may violate these Terms or applicable law.
5. Intellectual Property
All proprietary content provided through Bookloom is owned or licensed by Unboxed LLC, including but not limited to:
- AI-generated study materials
- Platform design, code, and branding
Public domain works remain in the public domain.
You may not copy, redistribute, or commercially exploit Bookloom’s proprietary content without written permission.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
The service is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranties as to accuracy, reliability, completeness, or suitability for any particular purpose. AI-generated responses may contain errors and should not be relied upon for academic, legal, or professional decisions without independent verification.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Unboxed LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to Bookloom if you violate these Terms.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, USA, where Unboxed LLC is organized and operates.
10. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms periodically. Continued use of Bookloom constitutes your acceptance of any updated Terms.
